A question even UPI/API has had some issues with.

WIth today's digital cameras we are spoiled. We can take thousands of pictures and not worry about the cost of film, then, if our pictures are not quite right on exposure or White Balance, etc., no problem. That people like Ansel Adams could produce such stunning work without the crutch of digital software is a true testament to their talent and skill.

Back-when, when asked about exposure for a particular situation I would stick my index finger in my mouth, remove it and as some would do to determine wind direction, would say: "125th at ∱8"...
Quizzical looks would follow.
