1000mm Canon in the works?

6/7/2016 According to Canon Rumors, Canon has filed a patent for a 1000mm EF super tele lens! To paraphrase Roy Schneider in Jaws. "I think we're going to need a bigger tripod!" >> Read about it here <<

At just over 19", seems very compact.

if i got that, put a Metabones MFT speed booster on it, i'd have a 2000mm equivalent lens on my hands.... I bet I could take pics of NASA Lunar landing sites with that!
