Came to a decision a week or so ago and sold the Hasselblad to a woman who uses the format. I was glad to see it go to someone
who will get use out of it. She is a bird photographer. I think she was surprised that anyone would sell one, so it was probably
in better shape than I thought. I am really enjoying the Canon
SX 50HS that replaced it. So far it does everything I need and have gotten some great British car shots that I am very pleased with. I would say that Cyborgs advice on a separate flash unit is well founded. I like to take twilight shots and the popup flash doesn't do much for color accuracy. Hopefully I will post a few shots of a Vincent White shadow I saw at the gas station.

Found THIS for the 'blad conversion... I'd pass.

The off-camera flash will eliminate "red-eye" and cut down on catchlight issues as well.

I am soooo glad I sold it. I am sure it's great, but not for me.
For now the Canon is just what I need.

I love my SX50 - a very capable, all around great camera.

Certainly is. Right now I am doing a lot of practicing with different settings. I also like that the manual is clear and to the point. Going to the highland games in Sept and looking forward
to shooting the dancing competitions.

This is a picture I took with my sx50 at recent air show. Hand held at full telephoto. I don't think I could have gotten this shot without very good image stabilization.

That is an incredible shot. Can't wait to try a few like that at
Watkins Glen.

Just remember to track as smooth as possible when you're using telephoto.

What settings were you using when you took that?
