I was really getting to love the Canon SX50. Unfortunately one of the hazards of owning a British convertible is that you can't really lock it. So as you all can imagine, after a Pit stop at
the local MacDonalds, the Canon was gone. Had a successful
series of Hummingbird shots which I lost. Hope the new owner appreciates them. So I am going to buy another if I can find one.

That sucks! I'm guessing your insurance doesn't cover it, either.

No, it doesn't, I had a high deductible. What it comes down to is if you lock the car, they cut the lid open, if you don't they open the door. Not many places to hide the camera in a Spitfire. Hopefully I can fine another SX50, if not, suggestions for something similar would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear this! That does suck! Fortunately the SX50 is still available and you can get them relatively cheap (Saw one new for $219 on Amazon). Hope you are able to get a replacement soon! (And you might want to get a small carry bag so you can take it with you when you go into McDonalds smirk )

Wife picked up another via Best Buy. It's great she works there.
I did have a case for it but the spitfire trunk was full of spares and other oily things. Of course I didn't want the case to get covered in dirt from the boot. Usual case of I'll only be a minute
so no problem. And it was no problem for the thief. It was a case of stupidity on my part. Looking forward to the NH highland games
where I am going to use the telephoto more. I am thinking the use of a mono-pod might be helpful to get over the heads of the other
spectators.
