I have been wanting to get some decent lighting equipment (light modifiers like Softboxes, umbrellas, etc.) to start learning more about portrait photography. I have my eye on a couple soft boxes, but I needed good stands. Today I picked up a reply nice Photogenic professional light stand for $35 from a retiring professional photographer. I saw it advertised on Craig's List. $35 for this:

Not a bad deal if I do say so myself! Wish he had two of them at that price!

Score! I have a few old light stands, but nothing on wheels.

This was just dumb luck! I had been looking for some affordable stands, but didn't want something so cheat that it falls over if you sneeze. Want to use them for Softboxes, etc. When I saw this posted on Craig's list at a ridiculously low price, and saw how much a new one is on Amazon, I just had to jump on it! The base is cast iron so it is very sturdy! Also, the poles are hydraulic so when you loosen then they don't just "fall" but retract very slowly and gracefully. Like I said, I wish he'd had two of them at that price!

Cast iron? I get tired carrying aluminum stands.

Just noticed there is no edit option for posts. I was going to add you must be a stronger man than I am.

The default time for the edit option to disappear is 30 min. I have changed it to 24 hour, so you now should be able to edit a post as long as you do so within 24 hours.

Look also to microphone stands. Some minor "MacGyver" work may be needed but the bases are usually fairly stout.
